I guess I would actually ask you to answer your question. I have about the most biased perspective possible...
I wouldn't have described your dance style as minimalist. If you respond "wrong" to me the only way I've noticed is that you're not one of those dancers who's got three moves that always come in the same order and I can predict them (which can be kind of fun when I know what's coming and can sink into it, but the smoothly unpredictable is at least as fulfilling).
. . . some of the smallest motions can be beautiful because they are perfect for that moment. A split second of time can leave me high for days.

But I've stopped pushing it with people who it clearly weirds. To be honest I've stopped dancing so much with some of them too.
That makes sense.
I've also found myself starting to do it later and more gradually. It's almost as though I'm trying not to scare them off as I come out of the minimalist closet.
