It's also fun cutting through the occasional 2" thick sheet of ice in order to shovel. It makes me feel like I accomplished something. Plus it gives me an excuse to use tools that are clearly overkill.
It was actually nice getting out and doing something, so I did one of the neighbors walks as well (The older gentleman who takes care of his aunt, yes. The somewhat mercenary real estate agent trying to flip the place behind me, no. (I actually feel kind of odd about that; for the most part this affects people who aren't either of them, but still, I find myself willing to do one but not the other.))
